Place the cooling rack on a cookie sheet and dry in a 190 degree oven for up to 10 hours. Place the tomatoes into a freezer bag, and freeze them for later use. Dried tomatoes can be placed into a jar that is filled with fresh herbs and olive oil. Put this jar in the fridge and use it up in two weeks time.

Many people find slicing meat into thin strips very difficult; however, if you partially freeze the meat, the task is much simpler. This method is especially useful when preparing Chinese or Thai entrees. When the meat is partially frozen, it is much easier to slice and doesn't tear or stretch. Before you cook the sliced meat, however, you must first allow the strips to thaw.

Find a convenient cool dark place for storing herbs and spices. Storing spices in warm locations, such as above the stove, can cause the spices to lose their flavor and you to lose your money.
